Dr Jikmik Rupalee Jonak

Dr Jikmik Rupalee Jonak is Aastrika Midwifery Centre’s full-time Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She has extensive experience in normal deliveries, instrumental deliveries, and caesareans. She recently returned from Oman, where she handled numerous deliveries a month.
She has done her MBBS from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital and an MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Assam Medical College & Hospital. She also holds a Certificate Diploma in Endoscopy, and a Basic Diploma in Reproductive Medicine and Embryology, both from Kiel School, Germany, and a Master Course in Cosmetic Gynaecology from Institute of Laser and Aesthetic Medicine, Delhi, India.
Dr Jikmik is well versed with and follows the UK based RCOG and NICE guidelines for the management of her patients. Dr Jikmik believes in evidence-based practices and follows a midwifery model of care with her clients. She believes that the majority of women can give birth naturally, and works on empowering women to do so. She believes in mother-centric care and encourages women to ask questions about their journey into motherhood.
